More Details:
All public hearings will take place from 5 - 8 p.m.
At each location, there will be two meetings taking place simultaneously:
1) One meeting will be in the form of a traditional public hearing, where people register to speak and then make oral comments in front of an audience for up to 3 minutes per person. Written comments will also be accepted and a court reporter will be on hand to take comments from those who desire privacy.
Registration to speak begins at 4 p.m.
2) At the same time, the second meeting will be taking place in the form of an open house, where citizens may come and view exhibit boards and speak with VDOT representatives.
The public is welcome to attend either or both meetings. Written comments can be handed in at both meetings. Oral comments will only be received at the traditional public hearing.
The exhibit boards will be available for public viewing from 1:00 p.m. - 3:30 p.m. at each location*
*One exception: exhibit boards for the April 19 meeting in Bridgewater will only be available for public viewing from 1:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. at a different location (at VDOT's Harrisonburg Residency Office, located at 3536 North Valley Pike. Directions: from I-81, take Exit 251 and go left off the ramp onto Route 11. The residency is 200 yards on the left.)
